루빈은 생성과 소멸의 양면성에 주목하여 독창적인 작품 세계를 선보인다.그에게 창작은 생성과 소멸의 순환 과정을 거쳐 탄생하는 것이다.작가는 가마에서 구워져 완성된 도자기가 서서히 본래 흙의 상태로 돌아가는 과정을 작품으로 보여준다.흙에서 와서 흙으로 돌아간다는 동양적 세계관이 반영된 이 작품은 관람객에게 본성,순리,무소유 등 삶에 대한 깨우침을 준다.

Lu Bin presents a unique perspective with a focus on the duality of emergence and destruction .For him,creation is something that emerges out of the cyclical process of such a duality;in his work,he captures finished pottery as it emerges from the kiln and,gradually,returns it to dust.A reflection of an Eastern worldview that sees things as emerging from and returning to the earth,his work awakens us to a non-material life:the essence of nature,going with the flow,and non-possession.

1961년 중국에서 태어났다.세계적인 도예가이자 남경예술학원 도예과 교수이다.2011년 이탈리아에서 개최된 제52회 국제도자기예술대회에서 은상을 받았으며,2013년 청주국제공예비엔날레 기획적 '운명적 만남'에 참여하였다.2017년 중국 난징 갤러리에서 개인전을 열었다.

Born in 1961 in China,Lu Bin is a world-renowned potter as well as a professor of design at Nanjing University of the Arts.In 2001,the artist won the silver medal at the 52nd International Competition of Ceramic Art in Italy,and in 2013,the artist participated in Mother & Child,the main exhibition of the 2013 Cheongju International Craft Biennale.He recently held a solo gallery exhibition in Najing,China,in 2017
